When Fisher’s father graduated from eighth grade in 1927 from Bogota (NJ) “Main Street Elementary School” (now Lillian Steen School), he never imagined his photo would be displayed again at the school almost nine decades later! When David Allen Lambert gave a “tip” to search your family’s old schools for report cards and photos, Fisher took him up on it. As it turned out, Steen School had nothing as old as the 1920s era class photos Fisher already has. So with a scan and a click, they are now in the school’s hands where a display is being created that potentially could unite descendants of some of those in the picture with photographs they had never seen. The school was built just a block from the Fisher home in 1909 and is still is in use as one of the town’s elementary schools today!
